SVÖLK SIGNS INTERNATIONAL RECORD DEAL
After hibernating the last months, the battle bear rockers of Svölk are back, and this time with heavier weapons on their side: Napalm.
The band have just signed a deal with the Austrian record company Napalm Records, and are now in the same cave as Monster Magnet, Brant Bjork, Alestorm, Stuck Mojo and Trail Of Tears, to name a few.
- We are proud to sign the contract with Napalm Records, a respected label with people who knows and loves metal. We are looking forward to spread the gospel of the battle bear together, and it's no secret that Svölk loves the smell of napalm in the morning, says the band in a press release. The record deal means world wide distribution for Svölk. First their eponymous debutalbum will be re-released, followed by a new album which the band is working on right now.
It is indeed exiting times for all lovers of True Norwegian Bear Metal!

Over 120.000 nordmenn strømmet i vinter til kinosaler rundt om i landet for å se gangsterkomedien Tomme Tønner. Stjernelaget som bidrar i filmen består blant annet av: Kristoffer Joner, Kim Bodnia, Yasmine Garbi, Lene Alexandra Øien, Leon Bashir, Stig Frode Henriksen, Bjørn Sundquist, Anders Danielsen Lie, Geir Børresen, Jenny Skalvand, Tommy Wirkola og Farrakh Abbas. En rekke fete norske band og artister leverer også musikalske perler i filmen, blant annet slagsbjørnsrockerne i Svölk. I forbindelse med at Tomme Tønner nå er å få kjøpt på Dvd slipper bandet videon til låta "52" som inneholder klipp fra filmen. Enjoy!
Den 31. august 2009 vil bli en merkedag for alle hardrock-entusiaster i dette landet. Svölk er klare til å slippe løs Slagbjørnen ut til massene. Debutplata blir den første Bear Metal utgivelsen noensinne, og inneholder 9 bjønnsterke låter.
Plateslippen vil bli etterfulgt av spilling i Norge, men også utenfor landets grenser. Svölk skal blant annet varme opp for "allstar-bandet" Hail! på deres Skandinavia-turné. Du kan forhåndsbestille på platekompaniets nettsider allerede nå.
